Barry L. “Chipper” Hile Jr., 48, of Fenelton, passed away Wednesday evening April 7, 2021 in the comfort of his home while surrounded by his loving family.
Barry was born in Grove City on March 4, 1973. He was the son of Barbara A. Price Hile of Chicora and the late Barry L. Hile Sr. Chipper was a 1992 graduate of Karns City Area High School and had been employed as a welder by CID Associates in Sarver. He was a member of Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church in Chicora. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his four wheeler, playing pool, and listening to music. In his earlier years, he enjoyed participating in sports, especially softball and baseball.
Chip is survived by his wife, Robin L. Botsis Hile, whom he married at Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church on May 31, 1997. In addition to his mother he is survived by two children, Lars C. Hile and Kendra L. Hile, both of Fenelton; two sisters, Rena Bortmes and her husband, David, of Karns City, and Heather Kusner and her husband, Drew, of Fairview; his mother-in-law, Mimi Gerulis of Butler, as well as number of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
In addition to his father, Chip was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Oliver G. and M. Grace McElravy Hile; his maternal grandparents, P. Glenn and Margaret A. “Maggie” Price, his father-in-law, and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Per Chip’s wishes, a private family visitation and service officiated by the Rev. Louis Pascazi, Senior Parochial Vicar at Mater Dolorosa and Chip’s cousin, Bishop Robert G. Hile Jr., a Church of God of Prophecy pastor. Interment will be in Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora.
