The Republican’s last candidate for Lieutenant Governor is now joining the race for Senate.
Jeff Bartos is a Philadelphia real estate developer, and is one of the first notable GOP names to join the race to replace current Senator Pat Toomey.
The 48-year-old Bartos had been a longtime fundraiser for Republicans in the state prior to winning the Lieutenant Governor’s primary in 2018. He and gubernatorial candidate Scott Wagner would lose that race to current Governor Tom Wolf and John Fetterman by double digits.
