The Butler School Board hired a new architectural firm to assist with several upcoming projects.
The board entered into an agreement with IKM Inc. after interviewing four firms. IKM is based in Pittsburgh.
According to committee members, IKM stood out from the others as innovative and forward thinking. The firm will work with the district to plan a project list. The district has taken out a $10 million bond issue to pay for roof replacements and other capital projects.
The district’s previous architect was Stantec.
