The Butler Area School District will hire a testing services provider as construction projects move ahead at the Senior High School.
During their Monday night meeting, the board approved a contract with ECS-Mid Atlantic to provide special inspection of construction materials as is common on a project of this size.
A representative of construction manager Eckles also provided an update on the status of the two projects with foundation and underground work planned through the fall before the steel auxiliary gymnasium is scheduled to be delivered at the end of January. Both the gym and classroom expansion are on track to be completed by August of 2022.
Eckles has worked with ECS-Mid Atlantic in the past and is working with them now on the new Seneca Valley elementary school project.
