Local officials are warning about an email scam involving the Butler Area School District.
According to an email sent by the BASD Technology Team, a phishing attempt is circulating through student and staff emails.
The Butler Area School District will never ask electronically for a username or password through email or an online form.
Anyone who receives an email requesting a username, password, or other personal information should mark it as spam and not engage.
