Butler County Community College is introducing new programs into their Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics division that will help students interested in a pharmacy degree.
BC3 officials say they’ve partnered with Duquesne University to offer biological science and chemistry programs that will allow students to seamlessly move into the Duquesne’s doctor of pharmacy program.
Officials from both schools say there’s a growing number of pharmacists entering retirement age in the region and there will be a need for pharmacists in the near-future.
BC3 leaders say interested pharmacy students can save money by taking the first two years of classes at BC3, before transferring for the remaining four to Duquesne.
