Butler County Community College has decided to cancel three indoor intercollegiate athletic programs that were postponed last fall.
The men’s and women’s basketball seasons along with the volleyball season for the 2020-21 academic year have been canceled as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Since these programs would travel to out of state to Maryland, New York, and West Virginia for games and matches, the season is directly affected by travel restrictions ordered by the state Department of Health.
BC3 will make a determination later about the status of other intercollegiate athletic programs like baseball, golf, and softball.
