Butler County Community College is closing for the next two days.
BC3 officials said last night that the college is facing a ransomware attack. They are currently working with a cybersecurity firm to restore databases, hard drives, servers and other devices.
The main campus and all branch campuses will close today and tomorrow. All online and remote classes are also canceled for the next two days.
In-person classes were originally going to be held remotely this week prior to the ransomware attack. College officials say that plan was for COVID mitigation efforts.
