Butler County Community College’s main campus will open for normal operations on Friday.
BC3 issued a press release saying that college officials learned of an online threat that referenced Oak Hills, September 30th, and pinned the BC3 main campus location. Oak Hills is the former golf course that BC3’s campus currently sits on.
BC3 officials were also told that the threat may have been posted locally. They also added that the threat was a photograph of a message written on a white concrete block wall. The main Butler Township campus was then evacuated with both classes and activities canceled for the rest of the day.
College officials searched all white concrete block walls on campus as well as all classrooms and facilities, with no threats found before making the decision about reopening for students on Friday.
