While students are just settling in to their summer vacation, Butler County Community College is announcing that their College Within the High School program is expanding this fall.
BC3 says the program for sophomores through seniors will offer a remote option this upcoming semester.
College algebra, college writing, general psychology, intermediate algebra and productivity applications can be taken by “any student, anywhere,” Erin Cioffi, BC3’s assistant director of high school programming, said.
Currently, the program does face-to-face classes during the year at 20 different high schools. Officials say now the program can be done remotely after class.
“This will give other students the opportunity to take a College Within the High School class, and it’s after their regular school day,” Cioffi said. “They can earn transferrable credits at an affordable price and save time when they become a regular degree-seeking student by already having credits.”
Each three-credit course is expected to cost $399, Cioffi said.
There are certain requirements to join the program, you can learn more here.
