Butler County Community College is extending contract of the longest-serving top administrator in Pennsylvania public higher education.
At their Wednesday meeting, the BC3 board approved a motion to extend the employment agreement with President Dr. Nick Neupauer through June 30th, 2026.
“I’m so humbled by the board of trustees, the college community, and not only the Butler community, but also northwestern Pennsylvania that have enabled me to be able to serve as the longtime president of this institution for such a long run, Neupauer said.
The percentage of Dr. Neupauer’s annual salary increase is identical to the percentage received by BC3’s other administrators and professional-technical employees.
His current salary of just over $265,000 reflects a 1.5 percent increase from his 2021-2022 salary. Neupauer points to continuing the strong relationship with the local community as a future goal.
“Our community has embraced us and in moving forward, I love the fact that there’s this connection with the community which really shows itself in these tremendous donations that we get in the college, terrific partnership and collaboration,” Neupauer said. “Moving forward, I very much want to strengthen that.”
This fall Neupauer will begin his 16th year at BC3.
