A new series of lifelong learning courses are available this spring at Butler County Community College.
Overall, there are 113 noncredit courses to choose from that includes categories like computers, culinary arts, outdoor adventure, and fitness.
There are also new course like The Creative Incubator—which is led by David DeMarco who is a personal singing and songwriting coach for Nashville musicians.
DeMarco earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Geneva College, Beaver Falls, and practices as a life coach at The Resurgent Life, New Brighton, where he also lives.
Participants in his course will be able to exercise ways to tap into the wellsprings of creativity and recognize roadblocks, said DeMarco, particularly those not employed in positions thought to require imaginative solutions.
“There are creative ways to use numbers, to organize numbers, to present numbers,” DeMarco said. “Creative ways to inspire people, lead people, answer problems, invent products … move water from Point A to Point B.
“Basically in any profession, creativity should be and is embraced. Without creativity, you have no problem-solving.”
The courses do come at an affordable price—The Creative Incubator course is six hours for $49.
