With the Butler Transit Authority being shut down for another day, many area residents are struggling with finding transportation.
That’s true for students at Butler County Community College who rely on the bus to get to class.
Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management Dr. Case Willoughby says he’s not sure how many students use the bus, but the volume isn’t the problem in this case.
“I don’t think it’s large numbers, but any student who can’t make it to class because of public transportation is too many,” Willoughby said.
He said the college partnered with the Center for Community Resources to help provide transportation to and from BC3.
“They have agreed to partner with us and they will be providing transportation to students who request it.”
He says students should check their emails for CCR’s contact information if they need help finding a ride to school.
