Butler County Community College has once again been named as a military friendly school.
College officials say this is the 8th time since 2013 that BC3 has received that designation from the organization Viqtory—a service-disabled military group that assesses higher education institutions.
This designation is based on factors such as military student support and retention, graduation and career outcomes, culture and commitment, and admissions and orientation.
A 2014 law mandates that Pennsylvania institutions of higher education give student veterans preference in course scheduling but BC3 invites student veterans to schedule courses at least one week before all other students.
Military students are encouraged to take advantage of scholarships as well as student veteran organizations and a designated lounge. More info can be found through the BC3 website.
