The Butler County Community College Board of Trustees has rejected the recommendations of a fact finder as part of contract negotiations with the college’s support professionals union.
According to the board, the college has also upheld their final contract offer to the union which represents 46 secretarial and clerical employees.
This is the second time that the trustees have voted to reject the findings; although they did agree with a portion of the report, they did not agree with the areas dealing with base salaries, raises, and starting salaries.
The board and union have been negotiating since January of 2023 on a contract that expired at the end of last June. The most recent meeting was in October when the union rejected the college’s three year offer.
