Longtime Butler County Community College President Dr. Nick Neupauer will take a sabbatical before retiring at the end of the year.
BC3 Trustees approved a motion at their recent meeting to offer Neupauer a paid sabbatical from July 1st through December 31st, 2024.
This sabbatical is in lieu of any other paid leave time Neupauer has accumulated but the longtime president will still be available as a resource to the next president during that time.
Neupauer and BC3 administrators have been working with trustees for close to a year to ensure a smooth transition.
Trustees will provide an update to plans about finding the next BC3 president at their March board meeting.
