Pennsylvania’s former acting secretary of health has a new job.
Alison Beam is joining UPMC as the chief government relations officer.
Beam was named acting health secretary in late December after former Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine took a job with the federal government.
Beam oversaw the rollout of vaccine distribution in the state, before announcing her departure late last year.
