A Beaver County man is facing multiple charges after attempting to flee from police in the city of Butler earlier this week.
A City officer attempted to pull over a vehicle for a code violation just after 11 a.m. Thursday but the driver refused to stop. A pursuit took place in the neighborhoods near the Butler Memorial Hospital.
The driver eventually jumped out of his vehicle in the 500 block of Third Street and attempted to run from police through several backyards. Police eventually apprehended 30-year-old Marc Pippens Jr of Ambridge on Second Street with help from Butler Township Police and the Butler Sheriff’s Office.
Pippens has been charged with felony Fleeing or Attempting to Elude an Officer along with a number of drug-related misdemeanors.
