Bernice Valeria Radvinski went to be with the Lord, Monday evening.
Born March 1, 1938, in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Valeria (Szostak) Wojtyna.
Bernice was a graduate of Butler High School. Bernice was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Church, formerly St. Fidelis Parish, and a member of the National Polish Alliance 645. Bernice married the love of her life, Joseph A. Radvinski on July 25, 1959. They were married 55 years until his death on April 6, 2014. Bernice was an excellent cook and baker. She and Joe enjoyed growing their own vegetables and cooking together and keeping all the family Polish traditions. Bea enjoyed spending time with her family and her greatest joy was her cherished granddaughter, Hope. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, neighbor, and friend.
Bernice is survived by her two sons, Joseph (Esther) Radvinski, Jr. and John F. Radvinski of Butler; her beloved granddaughter, Hope Lauren Radvinski of Butler; a brother, Vincent (Teresa) Wojytna of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Radvinski, Sr.; a brother, Stanley Wojytna; and two sisters, Frances Zulick and Mary Ann Wojytna.
Friends of Bernice Radvinski will be received at Thompson Miller Funeral Home, 124 East North Street, Butler, PA 16001, on Wednesday 4-6 pm and Thursday 10-11 am.
A blessing service will be held at Thompson Miller Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Deacon Mitch Natali of All Saints Parish, and Pastor Merry Meloy of St. Andrew’s United Presbyterian Church.
A private interment will take place at Butler County Memorial Park.
