Butler Health System’s CEO says the organization is awaiting more word on the new federal COVID vaccine mandate.
Ken DeFurio said in a statement that they will “comply with directives for health system and hospital workers,” and that they support vaccinations for all who are eligible.
To this point, BHS has not mandated the COVID vaccine for their staff, and it’s also unclear how many of their workers are currently vaccinated.
DeFurio also added in the statement, that the health system has experienced significant strain from COVID hospitalizations. He also said that this is a “public health issue with direct impact on BHS services.”
