A local doctor has been busy as a presenter, panelist, and collaborator with the American Society of Echocardiography.
Dr. Jeffrey C. Astbury, Vice Chairman of Cardiovascular Services, Department of Anesthesiology at Butler Health System, was a panelist at the virtual Council on Perioperative Echocardiography Scientific Sessions in August.
In November Dr. Astbury hosted an online forum called “Ask the Expert” also through the council during which he fielded questions from other physicians. He also met virtually with the Future Women in Healthcare Club to speak about career growth.
Last month Dr. Astbury participated in a panel discussion for the Council’s Steering Committee with several other doctors to plan educational initiatives He was also requested to write an article and invited to be a case reviewer for a journal.
In the new year Dr. Astbury plans to continue to improve services at Butler Health System as well as remain active in several organizations.
