As COVID cases fall, some may be wondering how we should handle testing in the future.
We spoke with Butler Health System Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. John Love who says there are a few factors you should take into consideration.
“If you’re starting to have more flu-like symptoms, like fever and body aches, I would definitely get tested. For those who are vaccinated, COVID can be just a little congestion. But, I don’t want everyone getting a PCR test every time. Not that there’s a real problem with that, it’s just a large burden on folks,” Love said.
Love says that the availability of at-home testing has significantly improved and is a good option for those experiencing cold-like symptoms.
