Bishop David Zubik says the Diocese of Pittsburgh is looking for men who are interested in becoming Deacons.
Three informational sessions will be held in Pittsburgh in July to provide more information about the role.
Deacons, along with priests and bishops, make up the three levels of ordained ministry in the Catholic Church.
Bishop Zubik says that the Diocese will be offering the Deacon Formation program every other year. Applicants must be either single or married men ages 30 to 59.
Deacons assist priests at Mass, along with other roles in the church.
