Bitter cold temperatures will stick around for a couple of days for the region.
The National Weather Service has issued a cold weather advisory from now through Wednesday afternoon.
It comes as high temperatures will barely reach the single digits and overnight lows are projected to fall to -12 degrees.
With this advisory, officials say to use caution while traveling outside and to wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.
They also say to keep pets indoors as much as possible.
