Butler City Police are investigating an incident involving a young boy in the Connoquenessing Creek.
Officers, along with medics and the City Fire Department, were called shortly after 7 p.m. Monday to respond to a swimming hole in Connoquenessing Creek near Kaufman Drive.
Police were told that a four-year-old boy was playing in the water with his siblings when he was swept under by the current. The boy was unresponsive when was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital where he was later flown to UPMC Children’s Hospital.
City Police have not received any updates on the condition of the boy since that time but their investigation into the incident is ongoing.
