A Boyers man is facing charges after allegedly abusing a girl for three years.
After a report to State Police in July of 2023 that a child was being assaulted, an interview was completed with the child, where they accused 34-year-old Jerred Carr of sexual abuse for three years.
The abuse began in 2020 and would happen at least once a week for the next three years.
Carr would threaten the child from telling adults by saying that if they were to tell someone of the abuse it would “ruin his life.” Also, allegedly during the abuse Carr would share his drug usage including how to cook and process crack-cocaine.
The child claimed Carr never gave them any crack-cocaine but offered marijuana.
Carr is facing several charges including rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, and deviate sexual intercourse with a child.
