Bradley S. Smith, age 68, of Butler, passed away Sun., Aug. 7, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Dec. 26, 1953 in Butler, he was a son of the late Leo A. and Elizabeth A. Shoemaker Smith.
He was a member of All Saints Parish, Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
Brad was employed as a laborer at Marmon/Keystone.
He was a member of the Italian Fraternal Society of Butler and Elks Lodge #170.
Brad loved working outdoors and puttering around in his garage. He was a hard worker and a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and son-in-law.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen M. McCracken Smith, whom he married March 6, 1976; three children, Kelly A. McGrath and her husband, Alan, of Butler, Matthew B. Smith, of Butler, and Brent A. Smith, of Butler; two grandchildren who were the sunshine of his life,, Abigail and Lydia McGrath; two siblings, Linda Mamula, of Canton, Ohio, and Craig Smith and his wife, Penny, of Grand Prairie, Texas; his mother-in-law, Joanne McCracken, of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel J. Smith and Scott E. Smith.
Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Thursday from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. from All Saints Parish, Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler, with the Rev. John J. Baver officiating.
Burial will take place in Saint Michael’s Cemetery.
