Brenda L. McCall, 67, of Butler, PA, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 12, 1954 in Butler, PA, the daughter of the late Donald Kaib and Ethelda (Kaylor) Kaib.
Brenda is a member of the Church of God at Connoquenessing. She graduated from Slippery Rock University with her teaching degree. Brenda had a special affinity for children of all ages. She taught at the Butler Area School District before she left to stay home with her own children. She started a decades long commitment to helping children. Brenda was a chair person for the The Fresh Air Fund and had over 40 foster children and also hosted foreign exchange students through Slippery Rock University. Her greatest joy was when she became “Mimi”. She cared for all of her grandchildren and many others that she loved as her own. She loved babies and as soon as they became toddlers she started teaching them. She was always happiest in a room full of children.
Surviving are husband of 48 years, John D. McCall; her children, Seth (Jennifer) McCall of Butler, Wade (Lindsay) McCall of Butler, Hope McCall of Butler, Luke (Heather) McCall of Butler, 11 grandchildren, Landon, Noah, Mason, Carter, Kendra, Declan, Bekk, Knox, Madison, Caleb, and Carson, a sister, Sherry (Brian) Sholes of Butler, and a brother, Keith (Jeanie) Kaib of Butler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Lacy McCall and a brother, Gary Kaib.
Friends will be received at Church of God at Connoquenessing, 1247 Evans City Rd., Connoquenessing, on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 5 PM until 8PM.
Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 9 AM until time of service at 10:30 AM with her pastor, Keith Karns officiating.
Interment will follow in the Butler County Memorial Park.
