A popular annual event to benefit a couple of local resources is planned for this weekend in southern Butler County.
Zelie On-Tap is in its fourth year and will be held in the Zelienople Community Park main ball-field at the top of the hill on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. or 7 to 10 p.m. This event will also include food trucks.
Shady Lady Productions will present live music. According to co-organizer Frank Baker, the money raised from this event will be evenly split between two resources that many residents use but may take for granted.
“The Zelienople Community Park and the Zelienople Public Library are the beneficiaries,” Baker said.
“They both rely heavily on community support to make all their capital improvements,” Baker said. “The library just recently renovated their entire children’s library area and they offer many programs for everyone.”
The cost is $45 per person and tickets are available online through Eventbrite, at the Zelienople Public Library, or at the vent for an additional $5. Due to the alcohol being served, no one under the age of 21 will be admitted.
