Bruce K. Dunmyre, 66, of Butler, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born June 18, 1954, in Chicora, PA to the late Kenneth R. Dunmyre and the late Margaret Jean Hildebrand.
Bruce was a loving husband and the best father you could ever ask for. An avid hunter and golfer. Loved his family and being outdoors. He attended Community Alliance Church, where he got saved.
He worked at Dunmyre Motor Express. Retired from Kenan Advantage Group, where he worked for about 25 years. Bruce was a member of Happy Hunters and the Moose Lodge in Chicora, where he played on the golf league for many years, and the Elks Club in Butler.
Bruce is survived by his wife, of 32 years, Catherine E. Dunmyre. His son, Kenneth, who was the joy of his life, and wife Leah. His father, Kenneth, passed away in 1981, and Mother, Jean, in September 2020. His sister, Rhonda McAnallen, and late husband, Greg, his precious sister, Leah Cumberland, who donated a kidney to Bruce 6 years ago and returned to him his quality of life, and her husband Bobby. One stepson, Leo Neff, and his wife, Mikki, of Butler; one stepdaughter, Tina Falling, and her husband, Tim, of New Mexico; one niece, Jennifer Cumberland; two nephews, Ryan Cumberland, and his wife Alex, and Mark Bishop, and his wife Karen.
After surviving many illnesses, covid was more than his body could handle.
There will be no public visitation. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
