A local municipality will make a decision this week about completing upgrades to a facility that handles waste.
Cranberry Township Supervisors will consider land development revisions to the Brush Creek Water Pollution Control Facility at their Thursday meeting.
Although the facility was upgraded in 2018, the solids handling portion of the project was deferred at that time. This upcoming expansion will see the installation of two new anaerobic digesters, additional waste sludge holding facilities, the construction of a new solids processing building, and other pump station improvements.
The board will also consider approving a contract with Vogel Disposal Service to handle the disposal of bio-solids grit, and screening.
