A local business owner has been charged in connection with an allegation of stealing from another local business owner.
According to a criminal complaint filed by the police with the district magistrate, Brett Hartshorn, owner and operator of Brett’s Burritos is accused of felony retail theft from Sprankle’s Supermarket.
Sprankle’s owner Doug Sprankle told police that Hartshorn had been stealing Starbucks Coffee and batteries from his store. He then showed police surveillance video evidence from 19 different days in September.
Hartshorn was confronted by Sprankle and police and was taken into custody without incident. The total value of the items stolen is just over $200. Hartshorn previously operated his business inside of Sprankles.
