Businesses interested in selling canned cocktails can now submit their applications to the Liquor Control Board.
Retail liquor licensees and distributors can now apply for the ready-to-drink cocktail permits.
This will allow places like beer distributors and gas stations to sell canned cocktails, which were previously sold at just the state stores.
However, the drinks won’t be on the shelves right away. The PLCB cannot grant the permits until September 16th. Officials expect there to be thousands of applications over the next couple of weeks.
