The Butler Area Public Library is once again helping kids to help the planet through an annual giveaway.
As part of this year’s Earth Day celebration, the library is participating in the 13th annual Neighborhood Forest free tree program.
In order to receive a free tree six to 12 inches in size during Earth Week, which runs from April 22nd through April 30th, families should help kids to fill out an online registration form on the library’s website by Monday. Additional trees are also available for purchase with proceeds sustaining this program.
Planting instructions and species information will be emailed a few days before the trees are scheduled to arrive at the library. For more information, contact the Butler Area Public Library.
