The Butler Area School District approved a new collective bargaining agreement with the Butler Are Support Professional Association at this morning’s school board meeting.
The new three-year contract includes the district’s secretaries, paraprofessionals, and medical technician employees.
“It’s a three-year contract with the board, with a 2.5% annual raise,” Dr. Brian White, Superintendent of the Butler Area School District said.
The new agreement also ends post-retirement medical benefits, which White says will provide the district with significant savings in the long run.
The new deal will take effect on July 1st and run through June 2022.
