The Butler Area School District will receive new equipment this summer as part of a new contract with a vendor.
At their meeting Monday night, the Butler Area School Board agreed to a five year deal with Ford Business Machines at an annual cost of just over $206,000 for copier and managed print services.
The district is just completing a five year contract with Ford Business Machines but will receive new machines in August as part of this deal.
A total of six companies submitted bids to provide the district with this service and the winning proposal represents a reduction in total cost of about $180,000 compared to the last five year agreement.
