A local Butler bowler captured the Pennsylvania Youth “Spring Scratch Classic” held in Clearfield last weekend. Rachael Blose, who will be a senior bowler with the Butler High School program this year, won the event after qualifying fifth overall with a 544 series – then won three head-to-head matches for the tournament title. Rachael shot games of 213-212 and 198 in the championship rounds. Kelsee McConnel, who will be a freshman bowler on the Butler team this year – finished fifth overall in the event after a 556 qualifying series.
Butler sophomore Rocco Rice qualified with a 628 series and finished fifth in the boys championship rolloffs.
