Butler bowlers place in top 10 of national championship event

Six recent graduates of Butler high school and the boys bowling team finished sixth in the team event at the United States High School National Championships held near Dayton, Ohio. 54 teams competed at the event. Butler’s Eric Devore finished 20th overall out of more than 375 entries in the Singles Tournament. Devore led the first squad on Sunday.
The Freeport girls team finished 13th out of 37 teams. The Yellow Jackets Julia Cummings finished 20th in the Singles championship.
