The Butler Golden Tornado Basketball team is off to a good start in section play as they defeated the North Hills Indians Friday night at Butler High School 78-66.
The Tornado jumped out to a big first quarter lead scoring 29 points. 15 of those points came from Ethan Morton who had a total of 35 points on the night. Morton was also 12 for 14 from the foul line. Butler led after the first half 29-10 but North Hills was able to bring the game within four points of Butler late in the game. Clutch shooting by Freshman Maddox Clement helped to keep the Tornado in the drivers seat scoring three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to help seal a win for Butler.
Butler is now 1-0 in section play.
