Butler Boys runner-up in WPIBL Team championships

Bowling:
–The Butler Boys Bowling team finished runner-up to North Allegheny at the WPIBL Team Championships Wednesday. Butler led three-games of qualifying with 2,706 pins. North Allegheny was second with 2,650 pins. Hempfield was third with 2,572 pins. North Allegheny then defeated Hempfield 2-1 in the semifinals, and edged Butler 2-1 in the title match. Butler’s Rocco Rice led all bowlers in the tournament with a 722 series. The Butler Girls compete in the league team championships today.
