A group of local students recently completed a project to give back to health care workers on the front lines in our community.
Last week Butler Catholic students prepared and donated 225 handmade care bags.
Each bag included items that were supplied by or made at BCS such as an apple to celebrate fall, “brain break” activities to help staff relax, snacks, notes of encouragement and thank-yous from students.
The bags were blessed at a special school-wide mass last Friday then delivered by a group of students later that day.
The project began when a BCS parent contacted the school and asked if hospital staff could be included in staff and student prayers.
