The city of Butler is looking to hire additional firefighters.
A recent posting on social media indicated that the city’s bureau of fire has two immediate full-time vacancies.
The starting salary of this position is nearly $45,000. Interested candidates can reside in any Butler County municipality upon completion of probation. Several more full-time openings are anticipated.
Applications must be turned into the Butler City Building by 4 p.m. August 28th with a written and physical agility test planned for 10 a.m. on September 8th at the Allegheny County Fire Academy.
