Butler County’s latest unemployment numbers put the county with the lowest jobless rate in the seven-county region.
The February 2019 job report- which are the latest numbers released by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry- put Butler County’s rate at 3.3 percent, which analysts say might be a record low.
The next lowest in the region is Allegheny County at 3.6 percent.
Officials say Butler’s 3.3 percent is the lowest recorded figure in the county since the department began recording in the 70s.
