Pennsylvania unemployment numbers went down slightly last month according to the latest data from the Department of Labor.
The figures were released Friday morning and showed an unemployment rate of 6.9 percent for the Keystone State. That’s down from 7 percent in May.
Butler County’s unemployment rate though is much lower than the state—sitting at 5.1 percent.
The labor force meanwhile still remains behind its pre-pandemic high. Currently about 6.3 million people are working in Pennsylvania, which is down from the record 6.6 million in early 2020.
