Butler County is launching a program that aims to help small-to-medium manufacturers in the area.
The county is starting a Manufacturing Readiness Grant program that sets aside $150,000 to support manufacturers that have less than 500 employees at their production facilities in Butler County.
The grants will cover up to 80 percent of an advanced manufacturing project’s cost, up to $15,000 per project. Officials say the grant could cover projects involving robotics, automation, digital technologies, big data, cybersecurity and more.
The project will work in coordination with Catalyst Connection, a nonprofit economic development organization. Interested businesses can reach out by email to info@catalystconnection.org.
