Butler County has been added to Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf’s Stay at Home order.
The order takes effect at 8 p.m. Friday and will continue until at least April 6th.
Individuals are to remain at home except to access, support, or provide life-sustaining business, emergency, or government services. People are allowed to go to the grocery store, work at a life-sustaining job or access emergency medical care.
Butler County Commissioners urge residents to follow this order and remain calm. According to Butler County Director of Emergency Services Steve Bicehouse, the county is prepared for this situation and there are no issues with supply chains.
As of Friday morning, the state of Pennsylvania had over 2,200 coronavirus cases including 26 confirmed in Butler County.
