July unemployment numbers are out and it shows the unemployment rate remains low in Butler County.
According to the Department of Labor, the unemployment rate in Butler is at 2.7 percent. That’s lower than the state average of 3.5 percent.
Out of the eligible workforce, less than 3,000 are without a job according to state estimates.
Meanwhile, the state unemployment numbers continue to set records. The 3.5 percent is down three-tenths of a percentage point compared to June. That’s the lowest the unemployment rate has been since January 1976.
