Butler Downtown is busy with a couple of upcoming activities to recognize those who put the city in a positive light as well as put up some actual holiday lights in a local park.
First, the group’s free annual celebration will take place Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brushes and Barstools on Main Street in Butler, where the group will present three awards.
Volunteer of the Year: Jason Beckwith, Director of Action and Recovery Group
Business of the Year: Mystic Moon
Economic Impact Award: Springhill Suites
Anyone who supports the work of Butler Downtown is invited to stop by to socialize and enjoy light refreshments.
In the upcoming weeks, the group will also put the finishing touches on the yearly Christmas tree display in Diamond Park.
“On November 15th, we’ll start to put up the Christmas Tree display,” Downtown president Matt McCune said. “And then Saturday, we’ll light the trees that go up.”
Butler Downtown is always looking for volunteers and offers many opportunities for engagement.
