Slippery Rock University men’s basketball players Tyler Frederick and Frankie Hughes have been named to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference All-West Division Second Team. Frederick is a Butler high school graduate who averaged nearly a double-double for the season in his first and only year at The Rock. Frederick transferred in to Slippery Rock from Division III LaRoche. He started 23 of 28 games for The Rock and averaged 14.8 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. His four offensive rebounds per game ranked sixth overall nationally.
Hughes was a transfer from San Diego who netted a conference-leading 85 three-pointers, second-most for a season in Slippery Rock history. He averaged 15.6 points this season.
