Butler Health System recently received recognition for innovation in healthy food options and nutritional education.
Earlier this week, the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania and the Good Food, Healthy Hospitals Initiative honored the BHS Food Institute for Bronze Achievement within the past year by meeting two of five program standards.
The BHS Café has been offering healthier food options to employees and visitors as part of this program. Also, the BHS Food Institute has been providing educational and coaching resources to community members dealing with medical or financial concerns to help with healthier lifestyle choices.
